LIV Golf Adelaide gets ready to pump up the volume again

Golf, but louder. That’s the LIV Golf motto. And it simply does not get any louder than Adelaide.

Over the last two years, the LIV Golf event at Adelaide has unleashed the deafening passion of Australian sports fans, who have flocked to the Grange Golf Club in their thousands.

In 2025, Adelaide has moved forward to February so that it can catch the rays of the Aussie summer. If you like your top-level sport real, rousing, and raucous, book now for the chance to be in the capital of South Australia on February 14-16.

“Great city, great golf course, great fans.” That’s how Jon Rahm summed up the event in 2024 – before it even started!

The Spanish star obviously loved the experience, tying for third in Adelaide on his way to winning the prestigious Individual Championship.

Adelaide fans hoping for yet another home win

LIV Golf’s first CEO, Greg Norman, always wanted to bring the series to his home country. He knew how passionate Australian sports fans are – and over the last two years, the rest of the world has seen the most jaw-dropping proof of that.

In 2023, there were wild scenes of wild celebration when Chase Koepka holed in one at the 12th – now renowned as golf’s ultimate party destination, the Watering Hole.

Then in 2024, 94,000 spectators flocked to the Grange Golf Club over the three days of world-class action.

And the home fans among them were celebrating loudly again as Ripper GC, a team full of fair-dinkum Aussie superstars, took the team title.

Ripper GC went head-to-head with Stinger GC in LIV Golf’s first team playoff, and their captain Cameron Smith holed the vital putt at the second extra hole that clinched victory.

Smith said: “I always knew internally that Australia would really embrace LIV with the culture, with the music, with the entertainment, everything that goes on around it.

“I always felt like this was the place where it was going to make it big, and how it’s been the last couple of years has been just insane.

“Last year I said, ‘I’m biased, this is the best tournament I’ve ever played’. I think this year it’s done it again.”

Now Smith and his pals will be back at the Grange Golf Club to defend their title as a host of golfing superstars make what is becoming a familiar pilgrimage to this special corner of the southern hemisphere.

Membership fees at the Grange Golf Club

The history of golf at the site of the Grange Golf Club dates back to 1910, though the club was not founded until 1926.

It has been upgraded substantially over the years, notably in 2008 when the current layout was established.

There are two courses here, the East and West, and the LIV Golf event uses a composite track made up of several holes from each.

The course sits to the west of Adelaide’s city center and is renowned as one of the top parkland tracks in the country.

If you want to join, you’ll need to find an entrance fee of AU$9,260, which is about $6,000. Then there’s the annual fee, for seven-day membership, of AU$4,116, a little over $2,600.

As well as two 18-hole courses, there are also extensive practice and entertainment facilities – and don’t forget, you’re close to one of the most vibrant and welcoming cities in all of Australia.

As Greg Norman – whose first professional victory was at this course in the West Lakes Classic – said: “It’s a club with all the finest Australian traditions of golf and everything that is associated with this wonderful sport we all love.”
