Fireballs Golf Club Captain Sergio Garcia will compete in his 25th consecutive U.S. Open after he was added as an alternate from Final Qualifying.

Garcia’s addition gives the LIV Golf League a total of 13 players competing this week at historic Pinehurst Resort & Country Club’s Course No. 2. The others are Dean Burmester, Bryson DeChambeau, Tyrrell Hatton, Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer, Brooks Koepka, Eugenio Chacarra, Adrian Meronk, Phil Mickelson, David Puig, Jon Rahm and Cameron Smith.

Garcia, Puig and Chacarra are all members of Fireballs GC.

According to the USGA, Garcia’s 25th consecutive U.S. Open appearance ties him for 10th on the all-time list. He was the first alternate from the Dallas, Texas, qualifying site. Garcia, 44, owns 36 professional victories, including the 2017 Masters Tournament. Garcia has won 16 DP World Tour and 11 PGA Tour events. His best finish in a U.S. Open was a tie for third in 2005 at Pinehurst No. 2.

Kaymer won the U.S. Open the last time it was held at Pinehurst No. 2 in 2014.
