LEGION XIII QUICK REVIEW

TEAM

It was quite the maiden season for LIV Golf’s first expansion team. Winning in their debut appearance at Mayakoba was no fluke, as they added three more team victories during the regular season, along with individual wins by Jon Rahm (2) and Tyrrell Hatton (1). With Rahm unavailable for the Team Championship, the team still performed admirably, finishing fourth.

PLAYERS (final points ranking)

Jon Rahm (1): Won the LIV Golf Individual Championship in his first season, showing why he remains one of the world’s top golfers. Incredible consistency (top-10s in all 12 completed starts) along with a spectacular finish (win-2nd-win in his last three starts) got the job done. Health issues were the main irritant during the peak period of his season.

Tyrrell Hatton (4): Nearly as consistent as his captain, as the duo proved to be LIV Golf’s most dominant 1-2 punch. Finished inside the points in 12 of 13 regular-season tournaments and posted his first LIV Golf win in Nashville to start a string of three consecutive podiums. He was LIV Golf’s best non-captain performer this season.

Caleb Surratt (41): LIV Golf’s youngest player was still a teenager when he turned pro just before the season. No surprise that there were challenges along the way, but he flashed plenty of potential for future greatness.

Kieran Vincent (54): Gained entry as a Promotions grad to join his older brother in LIV Golf but struggled for points to finish in the Drop Zone. Even so, he provided key contributions in the team’s four wins.
