Grant Horvat & Phil Mickelson take on the Johnsons on YouTube

With the 2025 LIV Golf League season opener just around the corner, two captains gave golf fans a little tease on Monday, participating in a match with popular YouTube star Grant Horvat.

Horvat paired with HyFlyers Captain Phil Mickelson to take on 4Aces Captain Dustin Johnson and his brother/caddie Austin Johnson in a 9-hole, two-man team match.

The match was the first in Horvat's new 2v2 series, which he hosts on his YouTube channel with more than 1 million followers.

Although Johnson defeated Mickelson in their most recent head-to-head match at the 2023 Team Championship, their friendly rivalry goes back nearly two decades in professional golf, so the YouTube match featured plenty of reminiscing on old times, timely trash talk and this throwback to the time DJ attempted to give advice on how to hit a fade.
