ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT

When: February 2-4

Where: El Camaleón Mayakoba Golf Course, Playa del Carmen, Mexico

Competition: Three rounds/54 holes of stroke play

Purse: $25 million US ($20 million individual, $5 million team)

Winner’s Share: $4 million USD (individual), $3 million USD (team)

Local Tee Times: Shotgun Start for Rds. 1 & 2 at 1:15 p.m. ET; Rd. 3 at 1:05 p.m. ET

The LIV Golf League kicks off its second full 14-tournament season and third overall since the inaugural LIV Golf Invitational beta-season of 2022

El Camaleón Mayakoba is hosting the LIV Golf season opener for the second consecutive year

Reigning Masters champion Jon Rahm makes his LIV Golf debut

Charles Howell III is the defending individual champion, and his Crushers GC team returns intact as the defending team tournament champion

Captained by Bryson DeChambeau, Crushers also begin the season as the reigning Team Champions

The 2023 Individual Champion, Talor Gooch, makes his debut as a member of Brooks Koepka's Smash GC

International Series champion Andy Ogletree and LIV Golf Promotions winners Kalle Samooja, Kieran Vincent and Jinichiro Kozuma make their debuts as full-time LIV Golf members

  • Defending team champion is Crushers GC, which won with a counting score of 26 under
