player roster
Lee Westwood (ENG, co-captain)
Westwood has been a constant presence at or near the peak of European golf since the late Nineties. He has won more than 40 times on tours across the globe, has been world No.1, and featured in seven victorious European Ryder Cup teams.
Now in his early fifties, Westwood still clearly relishes the challenge of competing at the highest level, and the tribal element of team golf, while enjoying the management side of being a co-owner of a LIV Golf team.
Ian Poulter (ENG, co-captain)
To a generation of European Ryder Cup players and fans, Poulter is The Postman – because he always delivers. Unbeaten in singles in the competition, he created a string of memorable moments in matches against the USA.
Poulter retains the passion that made him such a great competitor, and that carried him to victories in Europe and on the PGA Tour and a place in the world’s top five.
Henrik Stenson (SWE, co-captain)
Stenson has earned his place in golf’s history books with some stellar performances.
There was his fantastic victory in The Open Championship in 2016, sealed with a final round of 63, and his outstanding win at Bedminster in his first LIV Golf event in 2022.
Despite his nickname being The Iceman, there is plenty of fire beneath the surface. He remains a formidable competitor on the course and a dedicated team co-owner off it.
Sam Horsfield (ENG)
Born in Manchester but raised in Florida after his parents moved when he was five, Horsfield now has an English base a few minutes from the JCB Golf & Country Club – home of LIV Golf’s UK venue in 2025.
He showed his quality with a fifth place in the inaugural LIV Golf event in London in 2022, and went even closer when he was runner-up in Nashville two years later.
He may be a junior partner to his three co-captains, but he contributes in full on the course.
