That’s a wrap on LIV Golf Hong Kong, and Stinger GC put on a show! Dean Burmester was in the hunt all weekend, delivering an electric performance to finish second in the individual standings, while the team also locked in second place after a hard-fought battle at Hong Kong Golf Club.

In the end, it was Fireballs GC who edged out the competition, taking the team victory, with team leader Sergio Garcia grabbing the individual title by three strokes in a thrilling finale. But Stinger GC sent a clear message—the squad is dialled in and ready to keep pushing for that top spot!

Burmester’s Big Week

Burmester proved once again that he thrives under pressure, finishing just shy of the title. His consistency and clutch play were key in securing another massive result for Stinger GC.

“Throughout the week I kind of felt like my game was trending in the right direction,” Burmester said. “I kept telling Jason, my caddie, that I was right there, really close to doing something special, and today was something special. Super proud of how I hung in there, and I gave Sergio a small run for his money. He obviously played a great run of golf, but I'm happy with second place and where I am in the individual standings.”

Burmester credited his all-around game for his strong showing:

“The whole part of my game in Hong Kong came together—today with an 8-under, but before that, I made some really good putts in round one to keep the momentum going and shoot 4-under. Yesterday, I hit some quality shots and didn’t get rewarded. So, I felt like my whole game was trending in the right direction, and second place shows that.”

Team Stinger GC is now 4th in the overall team standings.

What’s Next?

Burmester and Stinger GC are carrying some serious momentum into the next stop—LIV Golf Singapore (14-16 March). With back-to-back events in Asia, the team is feeling settled and ready to go again.

“Excited to have back-to-back weeks here in Asia, so that helps—the jet lag and things like that are easy,” said Burmester. “But in saying that, I think other teams are going to be boosted and ready to go as well.”

The season is heating up, and with momentum on their side, expect big things from the squad moving forward!
